ECM session at the User Group
Last Wednesday’s SharePoint UG session on ECM has hit the right marks on many fronts. I was just reading Michael’s blog and he has a thorough write up on the presentation. Thanks Michael.

ECM (Enterprise Content Management) is one of the broad topics for SharePoint and to cover such a topic within a short time frame is not an easy task. So Kudos to Mark for taking on this one.
“Enterprise Content Management (ECM) is the technologies used to capture, manage, store, preserve, and deliver content and documents related to organizational processes. ECM tools and strategies allow the management of an organization’s unstructured information, wherever that information exists.”

Next session is already locked and those of you who are looking at the Business Intelligence capabilities this is the session that you should not miss. And to make it more “special” CJ (Chris Johnson) from Microsoft New Zealand, or should I say Redmond now, :-) will be presenting on the last two pieces of the pie, Business Forms and Business Intelligence. So this is a double whammy of sorts.
CJ is a SharePoint ranger, ie: He’s extremely good at what he does. I have worked with CJ on numerous MCMS and SharePoint projects in the past and if CJ can’t find a solution to your SharePoint technical problem then one does not exist. CJ will be heading off to Redmond soon to become a Program Manager for the next release of WSS (gasp if you have to, Yes they are already planning the next release).
