IT Hit Web Author Enhancement v2.0 installs the new web interface for site structure and document management in Microsoft CMS. The new interface replaces standard Microsoft CMS trees and provides access to resources via Web Folders.

Enhanced Trees Microsoft CMS trees reload page each time Editor clicks on a ‘+’ sign. When user browses tree structures via standard Microsoft CMS dialogs it takes a long time to find a page, a channel or resource in a big tree structure. WAE v2.0 replaces all trees in Web Author with new trees that load data asynchronously using XML and do not reload page.

Document Management via WebDav Often users need to upload to Microsoft CMS many files keeping there structure. WAE v2.0 provides WebDav implementation so user is able to upload unlimited file structures with a single copy-paste operation in Windows Explorer.

Resource Manager and Insert Image/Attachment Dialogs WAE v.2.0 installs new Resource Manager and Insert Image/Attachment Dialogs. Users can drag-and-drop resources from this dialogs directly to placeholders on a page. Create New Resource dialog, not provided by Microsoft CMS is implemented in IT Hit WAE and can be accessed from context menus in Resource Manager and Insert Image/Attachment Dialogs.   Workspace WAE Workspace enables Microsoft CMS users to access any pages, resources and templates from a single location. User can quickly approve a group of pages using tree context menus, create connected page with a single drag-and-drop operation or insert an image to a placeholder dragging it from the Workspace tree. Operations not provided by Microsoft CMS such as Create New Channel, Channels Sorting and Kill Lock, are implemented in WAE and can be accessed from context menus in the Workspace.

Popup Console The new popup console shipped with WAE uses floating frame so it is not overlapped by textarea, select and ActiveX controls. Console is called with a double click on a page thus it does not break user interface.

WAE is an out-of-the-box solution thus any user with a minimum Microsoft CMS experience can install and configure Web Author Enhancement.
