TechEd ROCKS!

This year was a blast… heck ya Go The Feelers (http://www.thefeelers.co.nz), Tech fest was just rockin..

Listen to their tracks here

After two intense days of sessions it was a good night out. Still feel the after e f f e c t s though.. Note to self: There is no such thing as “Free Beer” (not without a hangover anyway) It was good to meet so many people, the food this year was pretty good. But man was it packed, about over 2500 fellow “technologists“ or “techedders“. Met few people in person who I knew by reading their Blogs which was quite good.

The sessions were really good. Specially the SharePoint sessions by Ian Morrish (http://www.wssdemo.com) and Chris Johnson (http://blogs.msdn.com/cjohnson/default.aspx). Chris did a brilliant session on how to modify and customize an existing site definition. This demonstrated the power of WSS and how much can be achieved by creating your own custom site definition. And for those who attended I am sure that you’d agree that it was a very good presentation with the added entertainment value of him getting Niel Haddley to flick his slides sitting on a foldable deck chair, drnking beer and eating pringles :-) (Wish I had a camera)

It was good to see both SharePoint sessions filled to capacity. And chatting to Chris after his session he confirmed that he and Ian were flat out with SharePoint work.

Ian and Chris both hinted at some of the features that will be made public after PDC in the States.

Microsoft CRM 3.0 introduction and the SDK session was really interesting as well. Hope to get the beta installed and play around as soon as possible.
